Host Hotel Information
The host hotel this year is the Double Tree Inn & Suites. You must book by August 24 to reserve your room at the reduced group rate of $99/night. This rate is available until the block of rooms sells out.
Please use the link posted below for reduced rates:
Pole Drop-Off and Storage
Please allow extra time to drop off poles at the venue and then park in one of the nearby public parking garages.
Two parking spaces will be blocked off in the lower parking garage (Brit’s parking on 11th St) for poles to be stored at all times when athlete is not competing. Please take poles down to the parking spaces after the completion of your group, to ensure enough room on the green for the following group and their poles.
Athlete Warm-Up Area
Because of the limited space on the rooftop terrace of Brit’s Pub, the patio space will be open ONLY to athletes whose group is competing and spectators. The park area directly across Nicollet Ave between Brit’s Pub and Orchestra Hall will allow extra space for athletes to warm-up prior to their open pit time for run-throughs.
NO SPIKES OR SPRINTING is allowed on the lawn bowling green of Brit’s Pub. Only flat-soled shoes may be worn on the grass. The preservation of the quality of the green is a huge priority for Brit’s during this event. There will be extra roll-out runways and plywood walkways for athletes to use during their competition. THIS RULE WILL BE STRCTLY ENFORCED to ensure we keep the green in good condition for our hosts at Brit’s.
If you have questions pertaining to the competition, please email our event director Jack Szmanda at firstname.lastname@example.org.
